Orbx Announces Brisbane International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Earlier this week, Orbx announced the newest addition to its Microsoft Flight Simulator lineup - Brisbane International Airport (YBBN).

Though Orbx has yet to provide a feature list of this upcoming scenery, they have indicated that the airport is “built using current modelling techniques and Physically Based Rendering (PBR) …… [complemented] …… highly detailed textures”. Additionally, the design of the product reflects the modern-day layout of its real-life counterpart, including the “new parallel runway (01L/19R) that opened one year ago”.

Brisbane Airport, located on the east coast of Australia, serves over some 30 airlines to fly to almost every continent in the world. In 2016 alone, the airport saw some 22.7 million passengers. And serves the Australian state Queensland's capital city of the same name.

Currently, Orbx has revealed neither the release date nor the pricing of the scenery. However, in the announcement, they have stated that “Customers with Brisbane Airport v1 (FSX/P3D)..... will be able to take advantage of a 50% discount [while] customers with only YBBN v2 (P3D) will be eligible for a 20% discount”.
