Summarising on the recent developments surrounding news of the upcomign simulator, Asobo Studio has just released a major development update regarding the well-anticipated MSFS 2020. The first major announcement regards the arrival of MSFS 2020 to Steam on August 18th.

Users will have the option to purchase the standard, deluxe, or premium edition of the simulator just like they can on Microsoft’s own website. In addition to this, they released an official diagram of the aircraft that are to be initially included in the three purchase options available, as seen below:

Asobo also mentioned that VR support will officially be coming to MSFS 2020. However, as of the initial release, this support is limited to Windows Mixed Reality headsets. Support will be expanded to HP’s Reverb G2 headset as it releases later this year. In addition to VR support, Asobo has enabled an even more immersive experience by announcing its simulator will be compatible with TrackIR.

This is not all though, as Microsoft has also announced a series of exciting new partnerships that includes but is certainly not limited to: blackshark.ai, Aerosoft, Bing Maps, and most excitingly, VATSIM.

Finally, Microsoft has released several more demo videos showcasing the simulator’s environment, texture quality, scenery, sounds, and more. Read the full development update for the video snippets.
