More PMDG 737 Updates; Good News for Release Prospects

PMDG has been shooting rapid fire with updates in this month alone regarding the 737 NG aircraft. Shortly following a teaser picture from one of the visual developers on the 18th of January, Randazzo followed up in the weekend with more positive news:

It was not long ago that Randazzo presented followers of the project with news of a project setback, one which made the team pull the 737 from the release timeline. PMDG has been facing significant issues implementing its first jet product in Microsoft Flight Simulator, but seem to nevertheless be making steady progress toward an eventual release. Their trials and tribulations with Asobo and Microsoft Flight Simulator have culminated into yesterday’s weather update. Whilst no momentous information has been dropped, he has hinted at some imminent development updates to come in the near future.

As is tradition in PMDG testing, the singular new screenshot of the 737 showcases a small “cone” to provide a measurement for static pressure to verify predicted values of such with regards to the air data system in the aircraft. Asobo has finally returned PMDG’s inquiries concerning a few “showstopper” elements of development, therefore the team has resumed development in full capacity. Excitingly, the team is now evaluating a “transition-to-testing” data as well as an initial release date.

More information regarding the release of the aircraft will be announced when the aircraft enters the Beta Testing stage.

As progress continues, it’s important to remember that the team has to account for their stagnant “items” on their development list that haven't been touched since October. Randazzo promises that the team will expedite this process but a complicated project such as this will take some time to ensure complete functionality.
