Aerosoft Publishes Work In Progress Images of Twin Otter for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Aerosoft has taken to their forums to show renders of their Twin Otter rendition for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Information on the Twin Otter for Microsoft Flight Simulator was originally released in late August, with the aircraft intended for low and slow flying to explore the world.

Mathijs Kok said the project is in the early days of development and is not to be a conversion of the Prepar3D version currently available for the respective platform.

“Very early days but at least you can see we have started the project. This is NOT a conversion but everything will be done new, to the latest standards.

“As we have expanded our internal aircraft development team we are now able to run [two] full size projects at the same time.”

More information was provided in the comments in the same thread.

Asked about discounts for previous owners and a Viking -400 version, Kok replied with “no” to both, before writing the -100 and -300 are planned later on.

He added: “To be clear, we do not know but we will sure try. This is however intended as a medium priced product that will be usable on Xbox consoles (we have already mapped all the controls we need toi the buttons and axis on Xbox controllers etc). Do not read that in any way as an indication it will be a simplified model, it's not. It's just that there will be a lot of Xbox users and we want to include them.”
