The fourth Flight Simulator 2020 development update of the month has been shared, with today's post addressing changes in alpha build 1.2.10.0 and a spotlight on community member SimTom112.

As Threshold reported earlier this week, version 1.2.10.0 of the Microsoft Flight Simulator Alpha launched, for the first time including an airliner - the Airbus A320neo. View the full change list in a previous article, as much of today's blog post regurgitates this information.

Looking forward to the next alpha build, 1.3.0.0, the team expects release in May, with the Boeing 747-8 set to launch then. It's currently in internal testing, with information on bugfixes and other features being posted closer to release.

The next topic addressed concerned alpha invitations, which were briefly paused whilst alpha version 1.2.10.0 was released. The objective in the main is the same as last week - to ensure those accepted receive access to the alpha and to re-assess the current system to allow more people to be added in a shorter timespan. This process in ongoing.

Lastly for this rather short update, a new section in the development updates: community spotlight. The pilot piece features SimTom112, a drone pilot by trade, who has been flying simulators since FS2004.

"Today we’d like to feature an outstanding flight simmer and Alpha participant, SimTom112. You have probably seen some of his screenshots in many of our development updates and social media posts. He’s got a great eye for photography and is an integral part of our Alpha community."

SimTom112, or Tomas, is a professional photographer and drone pilot by trade. He uses his skills in-game when it comes to framing the perfect MSFS shot."

Screenshots of his feature regularly in development updates and social media posts according to the simulator's development team, with a collection of his best shots being shared in this blog post.

Following the recent trend of adding gifs to these development updates, some of Tomas' best short clips were also included.
