Orbx Simulations has taken to their forums and announced their next visual rendition of global landmarks, this time taking place in Auckland, New Zealand. The landmarks beautifully showcase the beauty of the city of Auckland. Previously teased on social media through a series of cryptic posts, users are quick to pinpoint the location after the initial teaser.

The Sky Tower and Auckland Harbor Bridge, to name a few, have all been modeled in faithful detail to represent the city’s architectural work. The terrain surrounding the town has dozens of volcanoes and other Points of Interest for you to enjoy. Orbx has also accomodated to helicopter pilots by adding two locations with landable helipads.

The City of Auckland has a historical background dating to 1350 when the Māori settled in the region. After about 500 years with various setbacks, the Europeans settled in Auckland and created a trading port.

Orbx provided a feature list of what is included in this scenery pack. Many of the significant buildings of the Downtown Auckland area are highly detailed custom 3D models. Over 100 custom models with reasonably detailing populate the coverage area, bringing the city’s varied architectural styles in-sim. Custom orthoimagery is included for Downtown Auckland and the entire Waitematā Harbour area.
