Airworthy Designs Shares St. Maarten Previews in MSFS

Formerly an X-Plane developer, Airworthy Designs have undertaken the large task of converting their high-fidelity Princess of the Caribbean line of sceneries to the group's focus platform, Microsoft Flight Simulator, a job which is almost complete.

After laying out conversion plans for part one of the scenery - encapsulating the airports of St. Maarten and Grand Case - back in August, the developer made it very clear that the jump from X-Plane to Microsoft Flight Simulator is no small effort, instead every object was to be brought up to moden standard.

Speaking on Facebook, they said the following: "These sceneries are based off the popular Princess of the Caribbean packages from X-Plane but every single asset is being revised and updated."

"This is due [to] how VRAM is much more at a premium in this sim so all the effort now is to make it as streamlined as possible. The aim is to maintain the same performance as the base package."

Today's images come from Princess Juliana International and show a relatively polished scenery complete with custom static aircraft, parking areas and the famous beachfront bar at which many a great aviation image has been captured.

According to the developer, we'll soon see screenshots from Grand Case Airport on the other side of the airport soon.
