BFDG Releases A-29 Update for X-Plane 11

Brazilian Flightsim Development Group (BFDG) have updated their Embraer A-29 for X-Plane 11, adding vulkan support along with numerous other features.

The developer states that the package ships with, “One high-quality model of the amazing light attack aircraft and trainer Embraer A-29 ‘Super Tucano’ including the P1 virtual cockpit and two external models for the A-29A and A-29B and 11 texture packs”.

The changelog is as follows:

  • Compatibility update for X-Plane 11.50+
  • One unique pack for the A-29 (A29B as default, A-29A config through BFDG Menu)
  • New engine modelling
  • New flight dynamics
  • New panel textures
  • New liveries
  • New cockpit lights and night textures for all liveries
  • 3D adjustments and texture corrections on the external model, bombs, missiles, and drop tanks
  • PFD, MFD and DED Keyboard buttons are no longer additive and ordered, new functionalities added to DED screens
  • X-Plane X1000 GPS installed,
  • New fuselage and normal mapping

 The A-29, or EMB 314 Super Tucano is popular in many countries, and it belongs to Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil’s fleet as light attack turboprops. It was designed by Embraer and embarked on its first flight in 1999.

The aircraft currently sits at 250 megabytes and comes included with two different options, the Embraer A-29A and the Embraer A-29B.
