Nimbus Previews BN-2 Islander v1.1 Update for X-Plane 11

Nimbus Simulation Studios have taken to Facebook today to showcase the newest update coming to the BN-2 Islander, which is soon to be available for X-Plane 11. According to the developer, the update is almost available for release and “includes Westray and Papa Westray Airports plus numerous fixes and new features.”

Having released the Islander back in June of 2020, Nimbus has showcased their second update coming to the aircraft. The developer is well-known in X-Plane for developing sceneries as well as aircraft and are including sceneries along with the update to the Islander, something which is rarely seen in flight simulators.

Along with fixes to the aircraft, the update will include Westray and Papa Westray airports, which are both located in Scotland. The previews showcased all around these airports, showing custom buildings and immersive features such as animals roaming the grounds around the airports.

Also, looking at the previews, it seems Nimbus has included custom vegetation, fences, orthoimagery, and more.

No further information was provided from Nimbus, except confirming that these two new airports coming along with the BN-2 Islander v1.1 update won’t be available for standalone purchase but will require owning the aircraft.

You can purchase the BN-2 Islander on the X-Plane.org Store for $34.95.
