COLIMATA Concorde FXP v1.20 Preview: Vulkan & Metal Compatibility and More

A preview of an upcoming update to COLIMATA's flagship product has been published that includes various improvements and additions to autopilot modes and Vulkan/Metal compatibility.

Writing to the x-plane.org forum, Emma Bentley posted five images of what is to come in version 1.20. The first shows fixes and improvements to the Inertial Navigation System (INS), along with another image showing the HSI in INS mode.

Not only that, but Vulkan and Metal compatibility is on the way, though it was stated this will only be available shortly after X-Plane 11.50 goes final.

Furthermore, there are refinements to the ASI instrument, along with the addition of max climb and max cruise autopilot modes.

The last time COLIMATA pushed an update for the Concorde was back in March with v1.11. That update allowed users to start engines using the bleed air from another and improved the handling of the supersonic airliner on the ground.

Last week, Threshold debuted a new series of videos dedicated to understanding the CIVA INS unit named Road to Concorde, available to view here. The video is designed to help users get to grips with the tools and skills in order to fly the aircraft without using an FMS or G1000.

X-Plane 11.50 is currently in beta 13, though no definitive or rough release of the anticipated update to X-Plane has been announced or indicated.
