DC Designs has taken to Facebook to announce the tentative release dates of their products for MSFS. Now that the NDA has lifted, the developer wrote a lengthy update on  Facebook about their experience with the new simulator. The post delivers a very clear message - DC Designs is going all hands on deck with MSFS development. Saying that Microsoft’s simulator  is “streets ahead” of the competition, development for X-Plane will thus be shelved, and work will cease for Prepar3D after the Concorde is released, and their FA-18 Super Hornets are updated.

Moving into the (tentative) timeline for DC Designs:

  • Concorde ( FSX / P3D ) – early September 2020
  • FA-18 Super Hornet updates – ( September )
  • FA-18 / F-15 PBR updates – ( September ) – last for FSX and P3D
  • F-15 Eagles for MSFS – October
  • FA-18 Super Hornets for MSFS – November
  • Concorde for MSFS – December 2020
  • F-14 Tomcats for MSFS – January 2021

Regarding their scenery development arena, both Farnborough and Blackbushe airports will be MSFS exclusive, with development for P3D versions cancelled.  While there’s no estimate for when these two airports will be released, DC Designs hopes to have both out by the end of 2020.

Looking into the future, DC Designs say the future is bright. With a lengthy list of aircraft, scenery, and other products they’d like to develop, they say that we’re entering a golden age of flight simulation. The original Facebook post is available here
