Orbx Releases Landmarks Dubai City Pack

Orbx has now released another addition to their city based scenery repertoire, announced just a short while ago on Tuesday, the scenery giant's newest "Landmarks" product covers the crowning representation of cosmopolitan Middle East.

The biggest city in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai is known for its opulent lifestyle, entertainment and tourism, rapid urban and economic development spurred by the country's wealth in natural resources, and its skyline sprawled with shining high-rises. The airport serving the city is a major hub connecting Asia and Europe.

Orbx digital replica features the city's distinctive wide range of architecture styles in its buildings, with 22 high-detail custom landmarks sprawled across the cityscape including Atlantis The Palm, Royal Atlantis, Jumeirah Gate, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, The Address high-rises, Dubai Frame amongst other spotlighted structures. The Dubai Eye ferris wheel is animated as well as the trains on the Palm Jumeirah Monorail. Theres an additional 185 lesser detailed custom modelled buildings, along with improving the six default landmarks with including Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab.

Another major feature is the rendition of OMDU Skydive Dubai with its distinctive raised concrete runway and small terminal building. Within the area, the surrounds are populated with custom autogen using the technology in CityScape Sydney:

Product wide, the city is grounded with custom satellite imagery, extensive terraforming across the coverage area, and hand-placed building placements which is further populated with region specific assets such as local vegetation, boats and trains.
