Digital Design Updates Leipzig for MSFS

Digital Design recently posted on its Facebook group the announcement and release of an upgrade for its Leipzig Airport (EDDP) for MSFS. The new iteration has brought numerous improvements and changes since version 1.0 of the scenery, which was released on November 11th.

In this update, Digital Design reworked and added numerous detailing across the airport, such as the new model of DHL terminal with high-resolution textures and the remodeling of some buildings in the main terminal with better representation of the building’s design, other minor edits were also added, such as the animation of the Radar in the control tower, which was retextured, along with the addition of the Amazon terminal and the interior of the DHL.

The real airport, Leipzig / Halle Airport, is located in the city of Schkeuditz in Saxony, and is noted to be the 11th largest airport in Germany in terms of passenger movement in 2019. The bulk of the airport’s operations and activity is taken up by cargo transport, its role as a major logistical hub earned it the second-busiest airfield by freight ops in Germany, second only to Frankfurt Main.

According to the Facebook post, the next update of the scenario will focus on the new model main terminal with interior and animated people. In the meantime, for those interested in purchasing the airport, Leipzig Scenery (EDDP) for MSFS can be bought from the Orbx shop for AUD 16.80.
