Orbx is expanding their British airport collection, adding yet another well recreated airfield to complement its TrueEarth GB product. Announced two hours ago at the time of writing, the airport in question shares the same name as the nearby town of Caernarfon, and serves as an operation base for the Welsh Search & Rescue and Air Ambulance.

A popular GA pilot destination, the airfield is home to several flight schools. The airport's proximity to the Snowdonia national park makes it a tourist hotspot, offering scenic flights around the national park and beyond, bringing a tranquil escape away from the concrete jungle. Users can reach Caernarfon Airport from major cities such as Liverpool and Manchester.

Among the strangest features of the airport, two large windmills sit overshadowing in mass and size near the runway, which makes for an interesting approach:

Feature wise, the airfield is a painstakingly developed artwork from Tony Wroblewski himself. The airfield has been detailed via real-world photography and site visits, and contains recent developments and expansions from the summer of 2019.
