The second version of Fly X Simulations' Christmas-themed Rovaniemi Airport rendition has been released today, following the first version which launched at a similar time one year ago.

The airport serves the Finnish region of Lapland, which is considered by many to be the home of the illustrious Santa Claus - thus it sees a large influx in traffic during the holiday season. Flights operate year round though, as Finnair operate regular services from Helsinki, the country's capital.

Rovaniemi Rebooted is claimed to be the only scenery which includes the recent terminal expansion, thus being the most up-to-date rendition on the market. In addition to this, the scenery also includes a winter mode for Christmastime operations, a detailed interior, ultra high-resolution PBR texturing and custom autogate integration. Custom trees (with added snow in the winter version) are also included.

Here's the full feature list:

  • High detail and accurate buildings
  • PBR materials for both buildings and ground textures
  • High detail terminal interior
  • Ultra-high resolution textures
  • Custom made Autogate jetways (requires autogate plugin)
  • A winter mode with snow effects that cover the airport.
  • Custom trees

You can purchase Fly X Simulations' Rovaniemi Rebooted for $17.99 from the X-Plane.org Store.
