The developer Flight Sim Development Group has released their super popular Nairobi airport scenery, following its release for P3D earlier last month. The scenery has been confirmed to work with X-Plane 11.30 and above, along with popular add-ons such as Ortho4XP.

The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi (HKJK), named as such to honour Kenya’s first president and prime minister, serves as a popular destination for over seven million passengers every year with over 92 thousand aircraft movements. The major hub for Kenya Airways is the main connection for tourists in and out of Kenya.

With its 4,200m runway (approx. 13,500ft), the airport can also handle over 26,700 tonnes of cargo every month with airlines like Astral Aviation or Cargolux mostly carrying freight to and from Europe.

FSDG has said the airport features an ‘accurate rendition’ of the airport with ‘great detail and performance’.

Full Feature List:

  • Accurate rendition of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (HKJK)
  • Realistic shadow and light rendition
  • Optimized for great performance and compatibility
  • Animated jetways (SAM plugin required)
  • Compatible with all known add-ons including ortho4XP
  • Manual included

The airport, along with their full collection of scenery for X-Plane, is available on the FSDG store for €14.28.
