FSDreamTeam Releases Key West Airport for MSFS

September 24, 2020

In a surprise announcement on Facebook, FSDreamteam has released a new airport on Microsoft Flight Simulator. Not much information besides a couple of screenshots and a feature list was provided, but this airport is a departure from the team's portfolio of released airports, marking a return to tropical locations.

The real airport is unique due to its size, locale, and history. The first activity on the aircraft started in 1928, and was called Meacham Field then. In Wolrd War 2, the airfield was used by the US army, and by 1953 the city of Key West granted Monroe County clear title to Meacham Field. A name change followed shortly thereafter to what we know today as Key West International Airport.

Feature List:

  • Made specifically for MSFS 2020, not a conversion.
  • Highly detailed 3D buildings.
  • Latest generation graphic, using only PBR materials
  • Several animated people.
  • Full Dynamic Lighting
  • Interiors simulated with the MSFS exclusive and fps-friendly Parallax Window mapping

The airport costs $10 USD ($9.99), purchase Key West on their website.
