The SIAI Marchetti S-211 is an Italian ground attack and trainer introduced in 1984 and has since been used by different air forces around the world. It was then developed into the Aermacchi M-345 after SIAI’s purchase by Aermacchi.

Indiafoxtecho’s package includes the SIAI S-211 and both of the early Aermacchi M-311/M-345 early configurations; neither of those includes a weapon system.

Here is the feature list published by the company on Simmarket:

  • Detailed external model for SIAI-Marchetti S-211
  • Detailed virtual cockpit for both the pilot and the instructor cockpits
  • 10 different liveries including USAF and US Navy JPATS prototypes, Philippine Air Force, Singapore Air Force, Haitian Air Corps and privately owned aircrafts.
  • Reasonably realistic flight model with custom airfoil data for the NYU/GRUMMAN K-1 airfoil fit for basic and intermediate military jet training
  • FMOD sounds
  • As a bonus feature, the package also contains models for the M-311 and M-345 early prototypes, in 3 different liveries

Indiafoxtecho has warned users through a Facebook post that the addon is compatible only with X-Plane 11.30 or newer.

The developer has indicated future plans of conversion to the X-Plane platform:

“Aside, my plan is not to abandon the ESP platform in favour of XP-11, but rather port to XP-11 some of my planes (and specifically the ones that fit best in the XP-11 environment and match my skill level). With Orbx TrueEarth sceneries and XVision, XP-11 made huge steps forward in visual realism and I think it is a great simulation.

“Still, I am continuing to support P3D as my main platform and them my long term target is to support FS2020.”

The addon is available for purchase on the Simmarket store at a price of 25EUR here. Users who already own the S-211/M-345 for FSX/P3D can purchase the package for 17.50EUR.
