Imaginesim’s Atlanta International Airport (KATL) was released for Microsoft Flight Simulator over the past weekend.

The world’s busiest airport by passenger traffic and several other metrics, the airport houses seven terminals and nearly 300 aircraft stands.

Imaginesim has used the following to create their rendition in Microsoft Flight Simulator:

  • A complete custom-built replacement of the default Atlanta airport.
  • 5 runways and 7 terminals.
  • Hand crafted buildings and airport grounds.
  • High resolution textures.
  • Fantastic night lighting.
  • Internal terminal modelling.
  • Hundreds of airside vehicles and ground staff.
  • Sloping and undulating runways and terrain.
  • Interactive passenger jetways.
  • Huge 10 mile square coverage of the airport area.
  • Framerate performance optimization.
  • Regular free updates and improvements as MSFS matures.

The developer notes that the airport can only be purchased through the in-game Marketplace, where the airport costs GBP £16.74. The exact cost may vary depending on location and currency.
