JustSim Releases EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg

Russian developer JustSim has followed up last month's Prepar3D release of Basel Airport in typical fashion, releasing the airport for X-Plane 11 as well.

Though much spotlight has been on the Prepar3D version this week due to a very public spat between the developer and a reviewer who disagreed over aspects of the scenery, it appears the X-Plane 11 version was unaffected by the controversy, with the files being uploaded to stores earlier today.

JustSim's Basel Airport recreation utilises custom ground textures, autogen and airport lighting, as well as select "X-Plane 11 features", though the nature of these 'features' are not discussed in the feature list. Additionally, the airport comes with default World Traffic 3 and X-Life routes and is "optimised for excellent performance".

Here's the full feature list:

  • Detailed airport objects and vehicles
  • Custom textured taxiways, runways and apron
  • Custom surroundings
  • Custom airport lights
  • Compatible with X-Plane 11 features
  • Shading and occlusion (texture baking) effects on terminal and other airport buildings
  • High resolution ground textures / Custom runway textures
  • High resolution building textures
  • Excellent night effects
  • Realistic reflections on glass
  • World Traffic compatible
  • X-Life traffic compatible
  • Optimized for excellent performance

The airport comes in a 1.8 GB download and works on all three main operating systems: Windows, macOS and Linux.

EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg is available from simMarket for EUR 19.80.
