Carenado has just announced the release of an update to their latest aircraft for X-Plane 11, the Piper PA-46 500TP Malibu Meridian G1000, bringing it to version 1.1.

The Piper Malibu was developed as a light single-engine pressurized piston aircraft in the 80s. The Meridian is the first turboprop version of the Piper Malibu, it has been produced 526 times as of today. Its huge popularity is mainly due to its outstanding capacities and its affordable price. Equipped with a 500 horsepower Pratt and Whitney PT-6 engine, it can cruise comfortably at flight level 300 at 260 knots with 6 passengers.

The release of the aircraft by Carenado came with many complaints from users noticing many bugs making the aircraft nearly “unflyable”. Some of these issues have been addressed in the update, here is the full changelog provided by the developer:

  • Fixed bleed air pressurization annunciator on CAS.
  • Fixed windows reflection.
  • Fixed elevator trim handler motion direction.
  • Implemented popup window to facilitate flight plan entry on MFD.
  • PFD baro and STBY baro can be set independently.
  • HDG knob setting is now clickable.
  • Other minor bug fixes.

Carenado released this add-on eight days ago, check out our article covering the release.

The Piper PA-46 500TP Malibu Meridian G1000 for X-Plane 11 by Carenado is available on their store for $34.95.
