Rotate Confirms MD-11 has Entered Beta

Rotate has taken to their blog to confirm many rumours that have been flying around that their MD-11 has entered beta testing stages.

The post did not delve into any details of any timescales or similar, although did confirm that “some features have been added in the last months”.

Through the images shared today, it can also be assumed that the aircraft will ship with custom ground handling unique to the passenger and freighter variants of the aircraft.

It was stated that the team have encountered no major issues thus far in testing, but as the team progress further, this is likely to change.

The previous update shared before today's news was back in June this year, showcasing the internal cockpit lighting. Also shared in those previews was an EFB in the cockpit, although no further confirmation nor news has been shared on this front.

Although not much was shared during today’s small, yet important update, Threshold will be sure to keep you updated with any updated surrounding Rotate’s highly anticipated trijet.

Rotate’s progress can be followed either on their own website blog, or X-Plane.org Forum development thread.
