Microsoft Flight Simulator to Debut World Update for Japan on Tuesday

Microsoft has been busy behind the scenes with work on the country of Japan, according to a new video showcasing its landscapes.

The video shows a number of airports including Kushiro, Hachijō-Jima and Nagasaki, whilst Matsushima Bay, Sendai, Utsunomiya, Hachijō-Jima, Hakone, Yokohama, the Tower of Wind, Tokyo and Mount Fiji are some of the iconic areas and landmarks modelled by the team.

It should be noted that this makes no appearance on last week’s update to the sim’s Development Roadmap; it indicates for this week the release of last week’s update, a new Partnership Series video, and an SDK and third-party update.

As seen at the end of the video, the update to Japan is to drop in five days from now on the 29th of September.

It is also unclear if the new airports will be available in the Standard edition or in one of the two premium editions.

The next weekly development update is, as usual, due in a few hours time, and it is expected this new video will make an appearance in said update.
