MK-Studios Releases Rovaniemi Airport (EFRO) for MSFS

Just in time for the season of winter operations, MK-Studios has released their rendition of Rovaniemi Airport (EFRO) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The product, created to realistically recreate its real-life counterpart, brings high-quality satellite imagery, a realistic runway slope profile, and a detailed terrain mesh.

According to a statement shared by the developers, Rovaniemi Airport features highly detailed terminal models and textures, custom night lightings, terminal interiors, and an accurate runway profile. Additionally, since the Rovaniemi is known as “the official airport of Santa Claus”, the Santa Claus Village is also included with the scenery. For a complete list of features, check out the product’s store page.

Rovaniemi Airport, which is the third busiest airport in Finland, is the epicentre for Nordic Tourism during the winter season. As such, the airport is served by a variety of carriers including Norwegian and Finnair, as well as LOT, Air France, and easyJet on a seasonal schedule. Due to its unique geographical location in the arctic circle, the airport is known for its cold weather, commonly dropping below freezing, challenging even the most experienced pilots with difficult icing conditions.

MK-Studios’ Rovaniemi for MSFS can now be purchased for AUD $19.95 on Orbx Direct

The product requires typical hardware to run it properly, and will take up 940 MB of storage, once fully installed.
