Orbx’s latest release for Microsoft Flight Simulator is Mumbai Landmarks. The scenery covers the seventh most populous city in the world, home to over 12 million people. The city, on the west coast of India, houses 2 airports: Chhatrapati Shivaji (VABB) and Juhu Aerodrome (VAJJ).

This rendition of the city focuses on major landmarks around the area, with over 100 custom buildings hand placed, including the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Omkar 1973 and the Bandra–Worli Sea Link bridge.

Furthermore, Orbx has provided custom orthoimagery and handcrafted terrain to make the region even more accurate to the real world. For the helicopter pilots, several buildings have been fitted with rooftop helipads, and the Shikra heliport has been added separately.

As usual, a full feature list has been provided by the team:

  • 16 high-detail custom landmarks including Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Gateway of India, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Omkar 1973, Imperial Towers, and the Bandra–Worli Sea Link bridge.
  • More than 100 medium-detail custom landmarks showcase the truly unique architectural styles of old and new Mumbai.
  • Several highrises with rooftop helipads, with additional landing areas on Navy frigates and at Shikra Heliport.
  • Custom orthoimagery for Mumbai City as well as the port and industrial areas across the bay.
  • Many enhancements to the city and surrounding areas: improved vegetation and building placements, static boats, vessels, cranes, chimneys, etc.
  • Extensive terraforming and shoreline adjustments across the coverage area.
  • Custom night lighting based on real-world photography.

The Mumbai City Pack is available on Orbx Direct for AUD 9.59.
