Orbx Teases London City Airport V2 for MSFS

Orbx has recently teased an upcoming update to their now nearly three-year-old rendition of London City Airport (EGLC) for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the fifth busiest airport in London with a yearly average of 5 million passengers.

The original LCY came out back when the simulator was brand new, and developers were still getting acquainted with the SDK, making it quite outdated by contemporary standards, especially considering the real-life layout also saw changes in that meantime. Version two considers the airport expansion, with its parallel taxiway, new parking stands, and the remote digital control tower.

They claim to have entirely rebuilt the airport, with an extensive rework of every detail, new textures, additional enhancements, and a custom ground poly.

The airport is said to integrate perfectly with their Landmarks London product, ensuring a highly immersive approach.

They claim it should be available soon on OrbxDirect, and previous owners will be able to get their hands on it for a small upgrade fee.
