Orbx reveals EGTF Fairoaks for X-Plane

Still continuing their quest to convert all their sceneries to X-Plane platform, a few minutes ago, Orbx's Aimee Sanjari has unwrapped the team's latest conversion; EGTF Fairoaks Airport! The airport is situated in the English countryside of Surrey, and features a faithful replica of the airport, done by on-site photography and high resolution sattelite imagery.

Developed by Orbx developers Andreas Hegi and Heiko Glatthorn, the duo also captured the surroundings of the airport including the  McLaren Technology Centre.

Key Features

  • Amazing 7 cm per pixel resolution for the airfield area
  • Countryside at 30 cm resolution
  • Realistic PAPI approach lights and runway end lights
  • Realistic HD textures created from on-site photography
  • McLaren Technology Centre

As with most X-Plane conversions, Orbx will give you a 40% discount if you own a copy of the airport on the ESP platform, the price without a discount will be $24.95. The scenery will utilise the new version of Orbx Libraries (version 1.45), which will soon be available MacOS and Linux through the account page. The scenery is designed to be integrated into TrueEarth GB South's texturing, as such without the regional scenery, users will possibly face misaligned vegetation and buildings.

Here are some screeshots from Emmsie - enjoy!
