Pyreegue is on final with Edinburgh Airport for MSFS

Popular developer Pyreegue has recently made the move into Microsoft Flight Simulator development, and his latest project is nothing short of spectacular. The developer has shared more stunning previews of his upcoming Edinburgh Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. With a background in X-Plane scenery development, all of his skills have been challenged as he has made a highly detailed rendition of the Airport. Whether it is the fully modelled interior of the airport or the highly detailed ATC tower, Pyreegue has not dodged any detail in this scenery.

The previews shared mainly focuses on the surrounding areas of Edinburgh Airport. With the Moxy Hotel being lit up at night, viewers were able to admire the amazing modelling and texturing that had gone into not just the airport but the surroundings as well. It wasn’t just the Moxy Hotel modelled. Hampton by Hilton was also modelled, displaying its home for a WW2 Supermarine Spitfire.

Another amazing preview shared is the attention to detail in the ATC tower. Externally, the tower is lit up in the correct purple colour to represent the Edinburgh Airport brand. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, they turned the Tower blue on Thursdays to thank NHS staff, carers and frontline workers. Paired with an amazing exterior is also an amazing interior, Pyreegue has gone the extra mile by modelling then screens used by controllers and has placed charts relevant to Edinburgh Airport on top of them.

With Edinburgh Airport set “into testing”, we can expect the release of the Airport “this week” as stated in Pyreegue's Orbx Forum Post.  Big thanks to Pyreegue himself for tipping us off on these previews in the Threshold Discord Server
