Maps2XPlane has recently released version 1.2 of their Seychelles4XPlane addon, marking the scenery’s first major update for XP12, since the new sim first released in 2022. This new version introduces expanded support for XP12, a suite of refinements, and several entirely new destinations to explore, across the beautiful island chain.

First and foremost, Seychelles International Airport (FSIA) on Mahé Island, as well as Praslin Island Airport (FSPP), have received improvements designed to take full advantage of XP12’s new rendering capabilities, including a rebuilt SAM implementation, now compatible with openSAM, featuring custom animations. The developers added new “material maps” for wet weather effects, along with improved lighting and reflections, applied across all airports in the pack.

Terrain and overlay scenery have also been rebuilt with an updated land-classification system, delivering more accurate transitions between beaches, forests, and urban areas. Atolls and reefs have also been repositioned. A new bathymetry model and updated sea textures then round out the environmental changes of version 1.2

New airstrips include Poivre, Providence, and Cosmoledo. These additions bring the total number of landing sites to nearly two dozen, complemented by countless unofficial strips, and all previously included heliports.

Existing users can download Seychelles4XPlane version 1.2 now via Aerosoft One. New users can purchase Seychelles4XPlane through Aerosoft, or partner stores, including the X-Plane.org Store and Steam, currently for $38.99.
