FlyTampa Updates Sydney Airport for MSFS 2020/2024

FlyTampa recently issued an update to their rendition of Sydney Airport (YSSY) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, which improves compatibility with the newly released platform, provides layout updates, fixes bugs, and more.

Update 2.5 brings a vast list of changes and improvements, such as the addition of new ramp parking spots as per real life, new taxiways (D and J), the reworking of certain parking spots, the remodeling of the motorway tunnels under the runway, the addition of 3D fences, new taxiway lights, performance optimization work, etc. The complete changelog follows below:

  • Added new ramp Parking 122 - 125
  • New taxiways D and J
  • Parking 83 to 85 reworked
  • Reservoir reworked - Apron now overlaps water
  • All ground work cleaned up
  • New runway and taxiways textures
  • New Radar/weather tower models
  • Motorway tunnels under runway remodeled
  • Car parks cleaned up. New markings
  • New jetway model and Binge/Optus logos
  • GA ramp buildings/hangars remodeled
  • DHL cargo building remodeled
  • Sheps mound improved
  • Fences remodeled in 3D
  • Car rental buildings remodeled
  • McDonald's and BP station remodeled
  • Terminal interior added to rear section of Domestic terminal
  • Carparks improved for International Terminal and long stay
  • New taxiway lights
  • Old Control Tower Remodeled
  • New West Bridge
  • Improved 3d Rocks
  • Libraries updated
  • Performance optimization and LODs
  • Improved FS2024 compatibility
  • Lots more misc improvements

According to FlyTampa's Facebook page post, the update will be available for free in the next few hours. 

The scenery is available on OrbxDirect for roughly $15.21, requiring at least 1.71 GB of free hard disk space to install.
