Tailstrike Designs Releases Reggio Calabria Airport for X-Plane & Previews the Airport in MFS

Scenery developer Tailstrike Designs has released their rendition of Reggio Calabria Airport for X-Plane 11.

The airport was first previewed for X-Plane 11 in April of this year, and is situated in on the south-west tip of Italy near Reggio.

According to the product page, "Reggio Calabria XP comes with all airport buildings and facilities as well as detailed terminals. Immerse yourself in this beautiful South Italian region: all major buildings around the airport have been reproduced in 3D and the surrounding cityscape has been done with customized autogen."

  • Accurate approach lighting system with animated rabbit lights
  • Custom Terrain mesh
  • Surrounding cityscape with customized autogen
  • Airport buildings with latest layout done in PBR

  • Major buildings around airport reproduced in 3D
  • 3D approach custom lights
  • 3D elevated parking lot
  • 3D apron vehicles with animation
  • Main city buildings such as “Stadio Granillo”

The airport is published by Aerosoft and can be purchased from their website now for €25.16 or US $29.99. The prices include VAT.

Furthermore, Tailstrike Designs is looking to release the same airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator, according to two posts on their Facebook page on Sunday and Monday.

“We are glad to get our hands early on this new Flight Simulator,” stated the developer in the first post. “It still needs some work but we promise it's going to be amazing!”

Tailstrike added: “Here you go some other previews of LICR on the new Flight Simulator, today we are showing the power of the new Engine combined with native PBR models.
