A major update has been released for the VSKYLABS Guimbal Cabri V2 for X-Plane 11 adding numerous new features, fixes, reworks and some new included documentation.

The Cabri is a light two-seater helicopter developed in the early 1980s by French engineer Bruno Guimbal, previously employed by Eurocopter, and his team at Hélicoptères Guimbal. After being certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency in 2007, the aircraft was highly successful on the European market. The rotorcraft received FAA approval in 2015 clearing it for operations in the United States. As of 2016, over 220 airframes have been produced being used for a wide range of missions.

This update covers almost all aspects of an add-on going from esthetic changes to the model to deep changes within the carburettor system. An abbreviated changelog is available below:

  • New user manual and POH
  • New throttle/governor system
  • Plasma warning system added
  • BARC modes (normal/backup) enhancements
  • New carburettor heat system
  • Rotor brake system tune-up
  • Lighting system enhancement
  • Interaction fixes
  • 3D modelling/PBR/Textures tune-up
  • New flight dynamics model
  • Paint-Kit now included

The full changelog is available on the developer’s website.

The VSKYLABS Guimbal Cabri G2 V2 is now available for $29.00 on the X-Plane.org Store
