VSKYLABS Update the Tecnam P2006T to Version 7.0

Taking to their Facebook page, VSKYLABS has released another update to the Tecnam P2006T project, bringing the aircraft to version 7.0. According to the developer, the aircraft is one of their “flagship products” for X-Plane, featuring both the G1000 and analog variants of the airplane.

The update for this aircraft brings a multitude of changes from the addition of a new FMOD sound package, overhauled systems, flight model validations, and more. You can view the full changelog below.

Flight Dynamics:

  • Thorough flight model validation for aircraft performance, throughout flight envelope regimes.

Systems:

  • Systems overhaul (both versions).
  • Operational trim switches (G1000 version).
  • New transponder (analog version).
  • New ADF radio (analog version).
  • New DME display (analog version).
  • Improved annunciators panel (analog version).
  • New fire-system test circuit (analog version).
  • New engine Choke system (both versions).
  • New cockpit and instruments lighting system (both versions).

Interactions:

  • Thorough re-mapping of all cockpit and switches to allow comfortable cockpit mapping using default X-Plane assignments (both versions, for home-cockpit builders).

Sounds:

  • New and improved FMOD sound package (both versions).

Modelling:

  • Extensive 3D modelling and improvements including PBR (both versions).
  • New default livery.

Manual/POH:

  • New Manual POH / Essentials files in PDF format.


According to the developer, the update is free for all existing users, as well, the “update was injected via the STMA autoupdater (sic) plugin” for all owners of the aircraft. The developer has also asked users to re-download the product “to keep the gap between the user-end version and the progressively updated version as reduced as possible.”
