Status Update on Madrid & Ben Gurion from Windsock Simulations

Windsock Simulations have taken to Facebook to provide a quick status update on two of their sceneries in development for X-Plane 11, Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport (LEMD) and Ben Gurion Airport (LLBG).

On the topic of LEMD, the developer has stated, “As far as Madrid, we are still working hard on Madrid Airport, but we will have to wait a while longer why a few things are being worked on. Bust (sic) rest assured It will be out very soon.”

The developer initially started work on Madrid back in early September with a collaboration with Maps2XPlane, who will be working on the mesh; lastly, the developer has asked for patience on the release of the airport, stating it’s the biggest project they’ve ever worked on.

The developer also commented on the state of LLBG, saying, “We have been keeping this a secret for a while now we have been working on this for a few months and we believe we are at a stage (where) we can show you some WIP screenshots - (but it) is not complete yet but we do believe that Ben Gurion will be released before Madrid.”

This is the first time we’re hearing of LLBG being converted by Windsock and in partnership with David Rosenfield, though as the developer says, development is well underway.

Windsock hasn’t provided any pricing information or potential release dates, only stating that the release of Ben Gurion is expected before Madrid.

We’ll be keeping an eye on these sceneries and provide you with information on any further developments and information that Windsock provides.
