Mega-thread: X-Codr KDEN previews

An early render of the Jeppesen terminal at KDEN

X-Codr Designs have flown under the radar recently. Since the release of KTEX Telluride last month, it has been announced that their 3rd X-Plane project will be KDEN Denver.

In a forum thread on the '.org, X-Codr has released a feature list;

  • Highly detailed ground textures
  • High resolution 15cm per pixel orthophotos
  • Highly detailed custom buildings and terminal interiors
  • PLANNED: Custom highly detailed Autogate jetways
  • Implementation of PBR normal maps to create a convincing, realistic environment
  • Highly detailed, up to date rendition of Denver International Airport
  • Custom Ortho4XP patch for accurate airport terrain

X-Codr has also let slip that KDEN will have a set of summer and winter textures, and plans to automate the change between them, much like his previous scenery KTEX Telluride. TerraMAXX compatibility has not been confirmed yet, however I'd imagine winter textures would blend nicely with TerraMAXX snow cover.

KDEN will also be compatible with World Traffic 3.

The scenery is currently in the early stages of development, and the screenshots reflect this. No firm release date has been announced, however X-Codr has said that it will be completed by the end of this year.
