Asobo, developers of the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, has announced the hardware requirements for the product. Posted on the flightsimulator.com website, the image shows the minimum, recommended, and ideal specs for both AMD, Intel, and Nvidia hardware.

The ideal specs should be fine for most people, although it should be remembered that these figures are for the default simulator rather than with many third party addons installed. In comparison to X-Plane 11, the minimum specs are essentially identical in terms of CPU, GPU, RAM, and VRAM, while storage is a bit unknown (although there are reports the alpha version takes around 80GB of storage). The spec similarities are also true Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D v5.

Asobo previously rolled out a patch fixing numerous bugs, as well as add the Airbus A320neo to the simulator. According to a recent changelog, the Boeing 747-8 will also be released to the alpha testing group in the near future.
