Orbx Releases Three New Airports and Updates TrueEarth US Washington to V1.0.1

Orbx have released three new airports for X-Plane 11 within the TrueEarth Washington area, as well as providing an update for the latter.

Starting off with their first airport announcement, Anacortes Airport (74S) is now available to purchase.

The scenery consists of five places to touch down on both land and water, in the North-West of Washington and isn't too far from Boeing's Everett factory.

  • Ultra-detailed modelling and texturing
  • Extended coverage area including City of Anacortes and surrounds
  • 2x bonus airstrips & 2x additional heliports
  • Highly-detail static aircraft local to Anacortes
  • Ultra-detail Deception Pass Bridge
  • Hand-placed autogen vegetation and buildings
  • Over a dozen local landmarks and points of interest
  • High detail ground poly with sloped runway
  • Painstakingly colorized orthoimagery at 60cm, 15cm and 7cm resolution
  • Seamlessly blends into TrueEarth US Washington
  • Excellent performance, optimized for your favorite aircraft addons

Existing users of the FSX/P3D version can get a 40% discount. Otherwise, it costs AUD $32.95 (approx. GBP £18.62 / US $23.10 / €20.59) through OrbxDirect. See additional details and buy the scenery here.

All of today's airport releases do not require TrueEarth US Washington to be installed. However, it was noted that TrueEarth US Washington must be updated to V1.0.1 for the correct application of mesh to 74S.

A week later, Orbx announced Darrington (1S2) for X-Plane 11. Also in Washington, this airport is set below the Whitehorse Mountain, and surrounded by spectacular scenery and wildlife.

"This highly detailed airfield was lovingly crafted to include churches, houses, hangars, buildings and other unique touches, and now this version for X-Plane 11 captures the experience perfectly."

  • 30/60cm per pixel imagery
  • Airport and town modeled
  • Spectacular mountain setting
  • Accurate watermasks for the rivers
  • Photos taken on location
  • 3D modelled ground polygon runways and aprons
  • Seamlessly blends into TrueEarth US Washington

As usual, it's 40% off if you already own the FSX/P3D version. It is available at OrbxDirect for AUD $32.95 (approx. GBP £18.62 / US $23.10 / €20.59). Further details and screenshots available on the product page.

The third airport released was Israel's Farm (WA56). This scenery is suited for pilots who prefer to fly low and slow, and serves as an ideal airport between the aforementioned Anacortes and Darrington.

Orbx have warned users however that this airport will be included free of charge in an upcoming TrueEarth US Washington Enhancement Pack due out soon. Otherwise, WA56 is available for AUD $12.95 (approx. GBP £7.32 / US $9.08 / €8.09). Existing users of the FSX/P3D version are eligible for 40% off.

  • 60/15cm per pixel ground imagery

For all of today's airport releases, Orbx Libraries must be updated to the latest version.

Finally, TrueEarth Washington was also updated to V1.0.1. This follows on from the earlier notification about having to install Washington V1.0.1 for full Anacortes mesh compatibility.

"In this update we have made mesh changes to the product to accommodate upcoming Orbx Washington airports."

TrueEarth US Washington is available at OrbxDirect for AUD $69.95 (approx. GBP £39.53 / US $49.03 / €43.71).
