AMJ Scenery Studio Releases Ultra China - Shanghai City for X-Plane 11

Last week, new X-Plane developer AMJ Scenery Studio released Ultra China - Shanghai City.

Being AMJ’s first product, Shanghai City is created with the newest GIS technology and features accurate photo-real textures.

The scenery also includes select helipads and landmarks in the city.

A full list of features is as follows:

  • Accurate custom vector data and accurate building footprint placements, forests etc. from visual computing and real world visits;
  • Hundreds of custom made buildings with night lighting effects and photo real textures, including famous places of interests like Shanghai Tower, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, EXPO park with China Pavilion and EXPO Axis Pavilion, Shanghai TV station and several bridges across the Huangpu river;
  • Longhua Heliport located next to the EXPO park (and more heliports on top of famous hotels and hospitals waiting X-Planers to discover);
  • Separate package of hand-tuned orthophotos covering the whole municipality of Shanghai, including the third biggest island in China – Chongming island (Please check your purchase email and readme files)

Furthermore, despite the numerous features the Shanghai City scenery is FPS friendly “as some of the non-critical textures have been modified to achieve maximum fps”.

However, the product does not include the city’s two major airports, Pudong and Hongqiao, which according to the developers, will be released as a separate product in the future.

Currently, Ultra China - Shanghai City can be purchased on simMarket for $29.46. Users who own the scenery will receive a discount on the upcoming Shanghai airports.
