Aerosoft Announces CRJ 550/700 Release Date for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Earlier today, multi-sim developer Aerosoft has announced on their blog that their much-anticipated rendition of the CRJ 550/700 for Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released in approximately two weeks on Tuesday, March 16th.

The aircraft, which was originally planned for release late last year, will feature a fully custom-built model designed specifically for MFS, a realistic cockpit/FMS, and a state-of-the-art electronic flight bag (EFB), as well as much more.

In a post released in December 2020, the developers have revealed that the base package for the aircraft, which includes both the CRJ 500 and 700 variants, will be priced at €42.00 (USD $50.80). Additionally, users can choose to purchase an “expansion package which includes the 900/1000” for an extra €16.75 (USD $20.25). However, Aerosoft’s statement today has indicated that the -900 and -1000 variants will be released at a later, currently undisclosed, date.

Currently, Aerosoft has indicated that the CRJ will be sold on simMarket and the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace. For more information on the aircraft, check out our previous article.
