Aerosoft in collaboration with PAD-Labs and Stairport Scenery have just updated their Berlin Tegel for X-Plane 11 to V1.03. The update brings new features to the product.

Berlin-Tegel is Germany's fourth busiest airport by passengers. The airport played a key role in Berlin’s airlift, an operation conducted by the United States and its allies to keep West Berliners alive during the German separation era. The operation lasted 90 days and counted over 300,000 flights. Nowadays, the airport is usually hated by passengers due to its dated infrastructure but loved by pilots for its beautiful approaches. The airport is scheduled to close soon and will be replaced by Berlin Brandenburg airport.

The update brings the addition of compatibility with SAM seasons, the extension of Orthophoto coverage provided in the add-on and much more. Here is the full changelog provided by the developer:

  • Extended orthophoto coverage
  • Seasonal orthophoto versions compatible with SAM
  • Included HD vegetation
  • Optimized surrounding vegetation for X-Europe
  • Added wet surface and snow effects
  • Added more static cars
  • Updated GroundTraffic to 1.52+
  • Updated animation entries for SAM2 (AOS controls page)
  • Added missing lines infront of lcc terminal

This update comes just four days after Gaya Simulations, another X-Plane scenery developer announced the development of their Berlin-Tegel. Check out our article about it.

Aerosoft Berlin Tegel (EDDT/TXL) is currently sold on the Threshold Store for $28.99.
