Blue Sky Star Simulations Issues Major Updates for Airbus Sound Packs

Big updates to the sound packs of various Airbus products have been released by Blue Sky Star Simulations today, with all released versioned 2, 3, or 5.

Specifically, updates to their sound pack for the JARDesign A330, A320, and FlightFactor A320 were all released, with details having been posted to their Facebook page.

The developer started with the JARDesign A330, as well as outlined a road map for other products in his line-up.

"I'm currently working on updating of every BSS product out there and here is the road map:

"A330 has been already updated to version 3.0 (Trent, PW and GE).

"Currently it is only available for those who bought through BSS store via same original link provided, or in your download cabinet. XP.org will be updated day later as we need more testers on this one."

The post also contains details of how to update, which includes downloading the A330 V4 and downloading the sound packs.

"There are not many changes, but now it works with Vulkan and [supposedly] with other versions as long as A330 version 4 is compatible with what you have," he continued.

"Main changes are volumes, smooth wind flow system, smooth engine volume transition at higher speeds (thats why you need xlua folder included in new version)

"The actual new A330 pack will be out sometime later as it needs a lot of work and will be sold separately.

"Please report if everything works after testing, include if you're on mac or win.

"Same Vulkan and overall updates will be out in days and then we will progress to beta testing of A321 Toliss."

In the second post, BSS announced that the sound pack for the JARDesign A320 was now at version 5, with some adjustments and compatibility fixes.

"JAR A320 has been updated to V5.0.

"Completely new sound pack is 90% done and will be out some time later.

"Currently it is only available for those who bought through BSS store via same original link provided, or in your download cabinet. XP.org will be updated day later as we need more testers on this one.

"1.You will need to download clean version of A320 from JAR website (version 3.5) http://jardesign.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=11840

"2.Then you will need updated Main A320 JD CFM BSS pack V5.0, download, and follow installation instructions (same as before). IAE does not need to change, all changes are in main pack."

The changes mentioned were adjustments to the volumes of various sounds, Vulkan compatibility, and the clicking noise bug has been fixed.

In the final post of the day, BSS confirmed the sound pack for the FlightFactor A320 has been updated to version 2, with a changelog too substantial to post.

"Currently it is only available for those who bought through BSS store via same original link provided, or in your download cabinet. XP.org will be updated day later as we need more testers on this one.

"1.You will need to download latest update from FFA320

"2. Download and install BSS FFA320 CFM pack, follow installation manual.

"It is now compatible with Vulkan as long as plane is compatible and engines now sound on replay. Also, this sound pack is completely new and pretty much resembles one from A319 Toliss, so it's unreasonable to list all changes since everything is new, including engine sounds, systems, environment etc.

"Also, at some point pretty soon I will release a separate V2500 expansion sound pack for FFA320 which will run for $10 as usual."

These updates come about a month after the developer released a free, slimmed-down sound pack for the IXEG 737 Classic.
