Aerosoft Teases CRJ in Microsoft Flight Simulator

Announced as their first aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator at the beginning of this month, Aerosoft have once again teased their CRJ rendition via their forum today - this time with a singular exterior preview.

It was inside the cockpit which we first caught a glimpse of the CRJ in the new simulator, which appeared to have at least semi-functional system operation.

Jumping forward a few weeks, developer Hans Hartmann shared today's preview, which took place inside of the 'Hangar' in-sim, saying that "The name is preliminary and everything you see here is work in progress (pre-pre-Alpha stage)."

Poster of the first round of previews, Aerosoft CEO Mathijs Kok, added that the CRJ is a fully native model, meaning it was made specially for the simulator, as opposed to converting the exterior from Prepar3D.

The group, who also make scenery products, already have one product out for the new simulator: Paderborn Airport, location of Aerosoft's physical office, was included by default in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

In terms of Aerosoft's plans for the other simulator platforms it currently caters for, Kok previously stated that they weren't intending to abandon either X-Plane or Prepar3D - “We sell what customers buy. You decide, not us” he added.
