DC Designs Updates F-15 Eagle for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Military aircraft developer DC Designs have released a new update for their F-15 Eagle product for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The McDonnell Douglas craft was first made available on the platform in January 2021.

The update was quietly added to the Just Flight website today, with some of the main drawcards being a new fly-by-wire control system and re-done cockpit and instrument panels.

Here’s the full changelog:

  • Re-built cockpit panels for higher detail, all switches and controls added
  • New instrument details throughout cockpit
  • New Fly-By-Wire control system for greater realism and fidelity
  • New internal and external PBR materials
  • New afterburner effects
  • New MSFS fuel_system implemented
  • New special effects throughout
  • Revised engine exhaust nozzle animations
  • Enhanced WWise sound with fly-by and other external sound effects
  • Increased realism in systems and start-up procedure ( JFS handle )
  • New textures in cockpit 
  • Revised modelling in cockpit
  • Pilot patches and animated visor added
  • Full Interactive Checklist added
  • Manual updated and revised

DC Designs’ F-15 Eagle, which includes the C, D, E and I variants, is available for purchase through Just Flight’s online store. It retails at $40.99 USD.
