Fly X Simulations Publishes Development Update on Lanzarote

Fly X Simulations has published development update number 3 for their upcoming Lanzarote scenery.

In this latest update, the developer starts by apologizing for a prolonged absence, but reassured users that the project is "very much alive" and that a lot of progress has been made since the last update, which was pushed out in February.

A paragraph orientating on what has been worked on then followed, starting off with textures.

The main terminal has been re-textured with higher resolution textures, and the same was said for ground textures. The latter also received PBR materials, along with wear and dirt to "appear far more appealing and realistic."

Apron clutter has also been added along with buildings close to the airports, which includes the car park and coach park. A significant number of palm trees have also been placed.

Features yet to be finished were then discussed. These include the placement of bushes and shrubs, and adding more wear and dirt around the airport.

The developer also wishes to add other ground features including apron cracks, manhole covers and drains.

Next on the agenda was pricing, in which the developer has chosen to go freeware with the airport. The developer believes that "this was the best thing to do in [their] current position."

As for a release date, Fly X Simulations has chosen Saturday 3rd August as a candidate, with a specific time to be announced shortly before a group flight.

The developer wishes to coordinate a group flight on VATSIM from London Gatwick to Lanzarote, and stream it on their Twitch. More information will follow closer to the date.

The update was posted on their website. You can also follow the developer on Facebook.
