Development Update for Fly X Simulations' Lanzarote

It has been eight months since the last development update from Fly X and Lanzarote, during which time the project has been progressing steadily. The update was broken down into a few sections, describing what has been accomplished and what still needs to be done.

The terminals are "more or less complete," albeit smaller things such as air conditioning units, ducts and other small objects still need to be added. The terminals are now fully modelled textured after several attempts, and below are previews of the terminals:

Renders of other small buildings dotted around the airport were also shown:

Previously, Fly X reported little work had been done in the ground texturing department, but that has since changed. The developer has taken advantage of X-Plane's Physically Based Rendering (PBR), as seen blow:

In closing, Joe stated the following regarding a release date:

"I presume many people will want to know a release date, I initially planned to release before the end of 2018, obviously I didn’t make this date. This was due to several factors, most notable was not anticipating the complexity of the project. I have never developed something of this size, quality and complexity and it is a constant learning curve for me. I don’t want to state a release date of any sorts in case circumstances change and I can’t meet it. All I will say is that the pace has been picked up dramatically recently and everything is starting to come together. I have a goal in mind for the date, but I’m not ready to say anything yet. As the project nears closer to completion more and more will be revealed about when it’ll be released."
