Orbx's Essendon Fields Airport is Released

As promised in the reveal post on their forums, Orbx has released their modern representation of Essendon Field Airport for MSFS in the weekend. (It's Saturday in the East!), previously announced on Tuesday the airport rendition comes packed with detail and is a shining example of the team's veteran experience in scenery development.

The airport is a place of importance to the company as it hosts Orbx's head office. As the second oldest airport in Australia, it serves as Melbourne's primary air gateway before being replaced by the newer Melbourne Intl. Airport for international flights. The current iteration of the airfield is a rejuvinated business precinct that also is home to several non aviation related businesses.

One of the main highlights of this release is a picture perfect replica of the company's offices which is explorable in-sim along with a completely modelled interior for the terminal complex. There is a previous rendition of Essendon Airport by them too, so for those who purchased the original rendition, they're entitled to a 20% discount upon the purchase of this new version.

The airport is now available on their online store with an asking price of $22.72 AUD. Plans for a backported edition for P3D and X-Plane is in the works.
