FlightFactor Officially Announces 777V2 for X-Plane

After years of speculation about FlightFactor remaking their dated 777 for X-Plane, the team has decided to begin with the development of their second rendition.

Taking to the X-Plane.org forums, Ramzzess from FlightFactor announced officially that they have decided to make a V2, after small teasers and much more.

Ramzzess stated that they began the development of the second rendition nearly 8 months ago with different principles in mind and different philosophies for the end-user.

In the announcement, the developers also attached some possible answers to questions that community members may have:

  • We don't know "when it will be ready" exactly but we have an idea of the ETA as we have completed many developments tasks already. We will announce it as we get closer to the date.
  • Yes, the a320 team is still working on improving the model - with your help and their new release policy, they should do well.
  • Yes, we are working on our other upcoming model, the 787, which has a common architecture and much more with the 777.
  • Yes, we are keeping an eye on what needs to be updated in the other models. FlightFactor is a very flexible team.

Many of the previews (and announcment video) given by FlightFactor were not included in this article (for ease of reading) -  If you’d like to see the rest, they can be seen on the original announcement.
