New FlightFactor Boeing 787 Pro Images Published

FlightFactor has dropped a new set of early previews into the development of their Boeing 787 Pro.

Today’s renders appear to show the cockpit with ambient occlusion applied, as well as a more colourful image with an exploded view of parts of the cockpit.

The images are somewhat blurry and are accompanied by a note from FlightFactor that they are “unwrapping”.

In this sense, unwrapping likely refers to transferring the contours of the 3D model into 2D texture files, although the images do not show this process.

The FlightFactor Boeing 787 was announced earlier this month.

It will be the first in a new series that aims to raise the bar in terms of systems complexity and overall level of detail, dubbed ‘Pro’.

The team is also seeking to significantly improve the quality of the 787’s 3D modelling and texturing compared to previous aircraft.
