X-Codr Releases Grand Canyon West for MSFS
As promised, X-Codr has just published Grand Canyon West Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator, a few days after the release of the X-Plane 11 rendition. The airport is X-Codr's second release from the developer this year.

The project was first announced back in November of last year, at a time where the developer had just entered the MSFS market, with his first release being West Yellowstone Airport. In line with his debut airport, X-Codr has demonstrated continued commitment to the X-Plane platform in which a version of Grand Canyon West for X-Plane has been released a few days ago.
From the onset, the feature list is normally what one can expect in a modern scenery offering for flight simulation; the airport is decked out with high resolution satellite imagery of Grand Canyon West Airport with PBR textures, complimented by custom detailed ground textures surrounding the airport grounds. The airport is surrounded by custom orthoimagery and detailed models. To bring added depth to the facilities, “lite” interiors have been included by the windows, providing visual depth and experience to the user. Following the feature list, X-Codr has included a list of landmarks that are included with the scenery involving the Grand Canyon Skywalk, Guano Point, and Cabins at Grand Canyon West. The full feature list has been provided:
- Detailed, accurate rendition of 1G4 - Grand Canyon West airport
- Custom orthoimagery around the airport with artifacts and duplicate objects removed
- Detailed, realistic pavement textures at the airport
- Custom PBR normal maps on pavement add to the immersion
- Most buildings feature "lite" interiors providing added depth behind windows
- Ultra detailed, accurate models
- Ultra-high-resolution textures bring models to life
The following local landmarks are included:
- Grand Canyon Skywalk
- Guano Point
- Cabins at Grand Canyon West

This visual rendition of Grand Canyon West has been made available through the In-Game Marketplace and sells for $9.99. If you are interested in any other products from X-Codr, you can check out his catalog of products through their website.
