iniBuilds Shares Beluga Update, Announces A310 MMRT and More

In a sizeable development update for February, iniBuilds has again taken to their forums to announce a new iniScene project, a new variant of the developers upcoming A310 and more. The post was part of iniBuild’s development updates, covering all of the developer’s ongoing projects for X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator. The development update series is now in iteration number 11.

iniSimulations A300 BelugaST ON THE LINE

The post started with news on the iniSimulations Beluga ST. It was written that development on their aircraft has “progressed fantastically” and was also reported that the aircraft has entered beta testing.

The Beluga ST improves further on the iniSimulations A300 with new features being provided with the product. Although none of these new features was listed, some screenshots with hints towards these new features were posted, including what appears to be an updated MCDU system with ACARS and SimBrief integration. Also shown was an ISIS display on the first officer’s side, a system not found in a normal A300. Both new previews can be found below and also on the post on the iniBuilds forum.

It was added that any of the new features that ship with the Beluga ST and are also applicable to the A300-600R(F) would find their way across to the aircraft over the year.

The final piece of news provided on the iniSimulations Beluga ST was that the discount for previous A300 owners was to be increased to 25%, up from the originally stated 15%.

Hawarden Airport (EGNR) by Zero Dollar Payware

An airport being commissioned by iniBuilds from uber-popular development group Zero Dollar Payware has also been shed light upon in this development update. The previews are the first to be shared of the work in progress airport. The airport is of particular importance to iniBuilds as it is the home of Airbus Broughton, the manufacturing plant where nearly all wings used on Airbus aircraft are manufactured. Also modelled at the airport is the Beluga Line Station (BLS) which will be fully compatible with the iniBuilds Beluga ST. In a first in the development world, it was also added that a separate optional version of the airport with a fictional apron will ship with the scenery. The reason behind this option was due to the low capacity of Beluga aircraft available to fly from the airport at ant one time, only once every half an hour. This fictional apron will add capacity for flying on virtual networks (such as VATSIM) where the airport may get congested with many users flying the Beluga in at once.

iniSimulations A310-300 ON THE LINE

Next up was more news from iniSimulations, this time on their A310-300 ON THE LINE simulation. New features weren’t confirmed at this stage, although it was noted these were hoped to be disclosed in the next development update. The news was shared that three extra unique models of the aircraft were going to be provided to the community free of charge as part of the A310-300 package.

The first of these variants to be announced was the A310 MRTT (Multi-Role Tanker Transport). The aircraft will not only have custom exterior modifications specific to the variant but will also ship with a custom cabin and possible extra features specific to its role were hinted at.

iniScene Developments

The final area to be covered in today’s development update was an update on developments with iniBuilds’ scenery development branch.

The first update shared an announcement of Beauvais Airport, located in France, just outside of the capital, Paris. The scenery is a collaboration with fellow developers at ADM Simulations and sees regular service from budget airlines such as Ryanair and Wizz Air. The airport will first be coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator but will also later be headed to X-Plane. More information was said to be released in the next couple of weeks regarding further updates.

Lastly touched upon was iniScene Shoreham Airport (EGKA) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The scenery will soon be getting an update to version 1.1 with a lengthy changelog. Changes to the airport include new toll bridges and remodelling buildings among others.

The full feature changelog for V1.1 of iniScenery Shoreham is as follows:

  • Re-modelled the main terminal.
  • All airport ground lines re-created as a 3d projected mesh.
  • New Old Shoreham Toll bridge model.
  • Added airport perimeter fence.
  • New landside road and parking area textures.
  • Buildings behind runway 20 re-modelled.
  • Green monolith re-modelled.
  • New fuel pump models.
  • New dirt/weathered textures added to some buildings
  • Compatibility with the latest MSFS UK/Ireland world update
  • A plethora of bug fixes.

It was also noted that the airport was to find its way over to the Microsoft Flight Simulator in-game marketplace no later than a month after the release of the update to the scenery.
